This is the time of year when travel is big, and here at The Red Victorian we are happy to be a place that people are excited to visit. Traveling is a time to step outside of your home and explore the great earth that we live on. Today we explored one of Sami’s posters in our weekly Peaceful World Conversation. The title of the poster is “When you travel.” So, naturally we wanted to know what parts of the poster spoke to you most and why?
Pete and Natchra who were visiting us from Portland spoke about their chosen modes of transportation while traveling and while at home. They prefer not to use cars and they are appreciative of the knowledge they gain while riding public transportation. Because of their understanding of how the transit systems run it makes traveling easy in foreign places and allows access to the entire city.
McKenzie who was visiting with her mother Sandy from Wisconsin shared with us a part of Sami’s poster that stuck out to her. She read, “refuse to carry with you an empty head or an empty heart.” She believes that traveling takes an open mind. You have to be susceptible to all things new and travel with an open mind. She is fortunate to get to travel with her family here to San Francisco and were excited to spend some time with us here at The Red Victorian.
