Our Program Update!

Good day!

We at Peaceful World Foundation have been working very hard to bring Sami's and our ideas to fruition and into even bigger reality! These past few weeks have been exciting, as we have really been working out the details of our programs so that we can provide the best possible events and programs to you and all of our partners and friends. In this entry I want to continue to describe and articulate our two main programs: The Peaceful World Center and Event Space, and our World Conversations Program.

1. The Peaceful World Center is our event space located here at the Red Vic on Haight St. It is a hub for groups/organizations/meetings/talks/lectures to meet and hold events. It is a venue for individuals and organizations to connect and to network. While we enjoy reaching out to individuals and organizations to use our venue, we truly enjoy being contacted as well. Please do not hesitate to contact us whenever you are ready to use our space for your events.

2. Our World Conversation Program is really shaping up! The past two Sunday conversations have been great, as we were blessed to have some very interesting people participate in them. At our conversation yesterday the theme was: choose to tell a story about an important life lesson you have learned, about anything in life. Come up with a simple, short name for your story and then share it with the group. Hearing people tell their stories was fascinating - while each person's story and experience is unique, there are always a number of underlying commonalities that allow people to empathize with one another. I know I really enjoyed talking with new friends about common life experiences and lessons.

Our conversations take place every Sunday morning at 9am, and very soon will be expanded to 2-3 conversations per week. We invite you to come meet others, make new friends, and learn something in the process! More information about the World Conversations can be found here.
