World Conversations and Exciting Line-up of Events

Not only have World Conversations been happening every Sunday at 9am – they have been filled with so many interesting people willing and wanting to share little bits of their lives with other strangers who quickly become friends. It is truly a joy to be a part of conversations such as these, where people from all over, from all walks of life, come together and connect in many ways. This past Sunday two full tables were filled throughout the morning and a multi-cultural conversation took place with participants from Mexico, England, and the U.S.

Ronnie Cato’s productions from 7-11pm every Friday night have been going great. There have been many wonderful sounding acoustic acts on the Peaceful World Stage, and anyone interested in either performing or listening should check out the myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/redvicsessions.

Our third weekly event is a Vegan dinner every Wednesday, generously co-sponsored and hosted by the San Francisco Vegetarian Society and Wellness Central. Join them here at the Peaceful World Center for some delicious vegan food, tastefully prepared by Patricia Allen Koot. There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated. For information please contact info@wellness-central.org.

Also, be on the lookout for our other great upcoming events:

This Thursday, October 30th, is a Wildlife in the City by the Bay slideshow presentation by naturalist James Aliberti from 7-8pm, followed by a lively discussion.

Next month we have some amazing poets coming to perform: On Thursday, November 20th, “Gratitude is in the Air” will be a great poetry session with 8 poets and audience participation encouraged. This will run from 7-9:30pm.

Tuesday, November 25th we have a first encounter with the great organization Musicians for Peace! A number of fantastic musicians will be playing on stage from 6:30 – 9:30pm. As the description says, it will be an evening of musical entertainment featuring musicians performing songs with a message of peace and social justice.

We at Peaceful World Foundation are very excited for all of these events and hope you will come and share these joys with us. Don’t worry about dinner too, our café will be available for refreshments so that you won’t have to miss out on any of these! Wishing everyone a more peaceful world,
